As an IT Manager at Federated Insurance, you will work collaboratively with internal team members and stakeholders throughout the organization to deliver both strategic and tactical technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has a passion for using technology to solve business challenges and create a competitive advantage. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and develop core team members.
• Understand business requirements and interpret them into software/hardware requirements, partnering with team members to implement right size solutions.
• Be knowledgeable on industry trends, influence change, and provide a strategic road-map for the team and company.
• Work closely with the team to support current technologies and investigate in new technologies.
• Understand supported technologies at a high level to share insights, recommend improvement opportunities to leaders in the department, and drive change.
• Manage budget of 1+ million in expenditures.
• Help lead meaningful transformation in a dynamic and rapidly growing business environment.
• Participates in project/demand technology prioritization for enterprise business capabilities.
• Assess application structure, functions, usage along with business processes and provide recommendations to continuously improve efficiency, quality and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree with a preferred major in information systems or other computer-related field, data science, mathematics or business; or equivalent experience.
• Leadership experience in Information Technology.
• Strong coaching and leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team on collaborative projects.
• An unquestioned ability to retain confidential business and personnel information.
• Experience in the following areas preferred but not required:
• Insurance industry experience
• Experience in content management
• Experience in Agile methodologies
• Collaborative and effective at building consensus across the organization
