What Will You Do?

Join our dynamic team as a Rating System Analyst, where you will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our policy rating systems. In this role, you'll develop business systems, standards, and procedures that ensure the utmost efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in policy premium rating. You'll also play an integral part in actuarial analysis, reporting, and rate filings. Please note, this role does not involve taking actuarial exams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain policy rating systems and plans to ensure they meet the company's high standards of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of automated policy rating applications.
  • Recommend and initiate enhancements to improve the effectiveness of rating systems.
  • Serve as an expert resource to internal and external stakeholders on rating systems and plans.
  • Create, update, and validate reports, assisting in the actuarial analysis of data for management, ratemaking, and reserving purposes.
  • Prepare rate manual pages, exhibits, state forms, and responses to external entities such as state insurance departments and rating bureaus.
  • Monitor and test the accuracy of data policy rating applications.
  • Develop, demonstrate, and maintain advanced knowledge of premium databases and software systems.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in accounting, mathematics, or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated mathematical competence and the ability to understand and utilize computer programming languages.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel
