The role requires technical understanding, robust project leadership, organizational change management, and collaboration with both business and technical partners. Ideal candidates bring the ability to challenge ideas to ensure high‑quality outcomes. They take ownership of results, actively remove barriers to progress, and work effectively across departments to drive clarity and alignment.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Plan, prioritize, and guide delivery teams toward successful execution.
  • Ensure clarity and alignment of project requirements across stakeholders.
  • Lead/facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies as needed.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Maintain a strong understanding of underlying technologies to participate effectively in technical discussions.
  • Assess risks and tradeoffs, such as the business and operational impacts of adjusting performance testing or modifying solution designs.
  • Participate in reviewing and validating technical designs to ensure architectural integrity.

Change Enablement

  • Lead OCM activities such as communications, stakeholder engagement, and training readiness.
  • Support business partners in preparing for and adopting new systems, processes, or technologies.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business partners, ensuring alignment and transparent communication.
  • Communicate risks, issues, decisions, and project progress clearly at all levels.
  • Navigate ambiguity and guide teams toward informed decisions and shared project outcomes.

Accountability & Ownership

  • Take full ownership of project results, ensuring outcomes align with business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Drive teams toward commitments and actively remove barriers to progress.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience delivering technology-focused projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage ambiguity, and deliver results.
  • Experience with organizational change management practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and articulate technology risks and design decisions.

Additional Beneficial Experience

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including facilitating ceremonies or working within Scrum teams.
